Abstract

926,076. Automatic circuit-breakers. BRYANT ELECTRIC CO. July 18, 1961 [Aug. 25, 1960], No. 26008/61. Class 38 (5). A circuit-breaker generally similar to that disclosed in Specification 905,772 has its contact arm 41 slotted at 49 to receive a projection 53 of the manual operating handle 43. Portions 55 of the handle on either side of the projection 53 engage in depressions 51 of the arm to form a pivot. The member 43 is pivotally mounted by means of an opening therein which receives a projection 47 of the metallic frame 25. Slots 160 in the connector 103 ensure that force which may be applied to the terminal 104 is not transmitted to the bi-metal 97. A pair of such circuit-breakers may be mounted side-by-side as a single assembly with their arc-chambers 111 and vent passages 113 interconnected by openings 151, 153.
