Abstract

765,386. Stud-and-socket fastenings. BUXTON, Inc. Jan. 24, 1955 [Feb. 3, 1954]. No. 2050/55. Class 44. [Also in Group XXIII] The handles of manicuring implements 01-04 or other tools are each provided with a ball end 9 having a narrow neck 10 of such dimensions as to enable the tools to be separately and removably attached to a holding device in a pouch 1, 2, 3. The holding device comprises a tube 4 having cross-slots 5 with expanded ends (not shown). A locking bar 6 slidable in the tube 4 has notches which may be brought into alignment with the slots 5 by sliding the bar to an end position in opposition to elastic means which draw the bar into the opposite end position. The ball ends 9 of the tools are entered into the expanded ends of the slots, the locking bar being in the drawn out end position. The slots 5 are spaced at distances apart substantially equal to the width of the handles.
