[Also in Group X] In a method for making a braced lagging link (see Group X), which forms part of a lining for the sides and roofs of mine galleries, a reinforcing wire 10 is first bent in a zig-zag fashion and formed with an eye 11 at each apex of the zig-zag, the eyes 11 then being slipped over the arms 1, 2 of the U-shaped frame which forms the link, whereupon the ends of the arms are bent to form hooks 3.
