[Also in Group XXVIII] Corrugated spacing strips 6, 7 at the opposite ends of a spirally wound double band 2, 3 of material are reinforced by corrugated steel wires 10, 11 running between thin corrugated strips of paper 8, 9 secured together by adhesive threads 12, 13, 14 therebetween. Sealing strips 4, 5 at opposite ends force fluid entering at one end to pass transversely through the filter band turns before leaving at the other end.
