Abstract

764,290. Lift trucks. COVENTRY CLIMAX ENGINES, Ltd. Feb. 3, 1955 [Feb. 23, 1954], No. 3253/55. Addition to 750,207. Class 78 (3). Lateral movement of the fork 10 or other load support described in the parent Specification is effected by rotation of a pinion 5 meshing with a rack 4 secured to the lifting carriage 3. The pinion 5 is rotated through chain and sprocket gearing 6, 7, 8 by a cylinder 13 which is secured to chain 8 at 14 and is movable on a piston 12 secured to the load carrier.
