761,247. Electric selective signalling systems. PLESSEY CO., Ltd. Oct. 13, 1954 [Oct. 13, 1953], No. 28115/53. Class 40 (1). A three-position indicator has a disc 1 provided on the upper face with six zones of 60 degrees each, each zone having distinguishing markings, and fixed on a shaft 2 rotatably mounted in a frame 3. A permanent magnet 4 is fixed to the shaft 2 and by means of a polepiece 8 on an electromagnet 5 is caused to rotate in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction according to which part of the centretapped winding 7 is energized. A permanent magnet 9, arranged at right-angles to the energized positions of the magnet 4, is fixed to the frame 3 and causes the disc 1 to be returned to the neutral position when the electromagnet is de-energized. The energized positions are determined by stops 11, 12. The casing 13 has an escutcheon 15 with two diametrically-opposed transparent portions. Specification 730,591 is referred to.
