Abstract

A catalytic element for decomposing hydrogen peroxide comprises copper gauze, perforated sheet metal, woven metallic fabric or wire wool coated by hot spraying with silver. The silver may then be anodized and the element subjected to hydrogen peroxide before installation in a rocket motor.
