Abstract
760,638. Agricultural implements. AERO & AUTO, Ltd., C. June 16, 1955 [June 18, 1954], No. 17911/54. Class 6(1). A power driven rotary cultivator of the kind connected to and driven by a tractor and having a plurality of tines 7 rotatable about a shaft 5 which is parallel to the ground-wheel axle of the tractor, is characterized in that a pair of mutually inclined rotatable discs 10 are disposed in front of the tines and in alignment with a gap between the tines on opposite sides of a propeller shaft 4 which drives the shaft 5. The discs 10 are dished and arranged to turn the earth outwardly into the path of the tines 7. The discs are mounted on shafts 8 which are adjustably attached to the casing 3. The tines 7 which are L-shaped are connected to discs 6 and the outer limbs of the tines are alternately directed in opposite directions.
