[Also in Group XL (c)] Signals from a source 14, Fig. 1, may be alternatively modulated on to r.f. carriers at exciters 1A, 8B; each exciter may feed two parallel equipments, comprising phase adjusters 2A, 9B, frequency multipliers 3A, 10B, power amplifiers 4A, 11B, harmonic filters 5A, 12B and aerials 17, 18; a phase discriminator 19 detects phase variations between the aerials 17, 18 and controls one of the phase adjusters to maintain the phase difference at the aerials constant.
