Abstract

757,242. Twist tubes. HEBERLEIN & CO., AKT.-GES. Feb. 2, 1954 [Aug. 20, 1953], No. 3059/54. Class 120 (2). [Also in Group XXXIV] A false twist tube 1 carrying the rotor 2 of an electric motor is mounted in air bearings 6 and is capable of operation at speeds of from 50,000 to 200,000 revolutions per minute. The tube 1 has a ground or polished bore and a twister element symmetrical about the axis of the tube. An alternative form of twister element to the wire yoke 9, shown in Fig. 1, consists of an arbor 20 mounted across the end of the tube 1 and around which the yarn is passed. Specifications 611,538 and 757,299 are referred to.
