757,182. Washing coffee beans &c. SAETRE, T. Oct. 26, 1954, No. 30881/54. Class 82(2). Coffee beans and similar shaped objects are washed in a horizontal drum 1 having a rotating shaft 6 carrying opposed pairs 8, 8<SP>1</SP> of pitched perforate blades each pair being separated by an imperforate plate 9. The beans are introduced with water through inlet 4 and removed through an outlet 5. Bolts 15 project into the path of the beans to restrain water movement. Plates may be substituted for the bolts.
