Abstract
756,423. Circuits for telephone instruments. LANE, A. Nov. 28, 1952 [Sept. 14, 1951], No. 21647/51. Class 40 (4). An attachment for connection to the low impedance electrical output terminals of a speech reproducing set such as a radio or a record player comprises an input transformer 15 and tone and volume controls 16-19 for connection in the circuit of a deaf aid receiver 22. The attachment which is enclosed in a can 14 has input and output plug-and-socket arrangements and the can has weighted straps by which it can be held upon the arm of a chair. The input transformer is made to resonate at the higher end of the speech band in order to enhance the poor response of miniature earpieces such as are used by deaf persons.
