Abstract

A bath composition for cleaning metals comprises 25 to 30 per cent sulphuric acid, 10 to 12 per cent nitric acid, 5 to 6 per cent phosphoric acid and 3 to 5 per cent hydrochloric acid, all percentages by weight, the balance being water. 0,6 to 1,0 per cent glycerine or glycol and 0,15 to 2,0 per cent ammonium thiosulphate may be added.
