754,775. Acrylonitrile polymer compositions. VEREINIGTE GLANZSTOFF-FABRIKEN AKT.-GES. June 1, 1954 [Nov. 6, 1953], No. 16238/54. Addition to 752,507. Class 2 (5). Filaments of improved abrasion resistance are spun from solutions of polyacrylonitrile or copolymers of acrylonitrile, e.g. a solution in dimethyl formamide, containing polyvinyl acetate and polyvinyl ethyl ether which have been added in solid or dissolved form to the solution during the course of its formation, the proportion of polyvinyl acetate being from 5 to 15 per cent, and the total proportion of polyvinyl acetate and polyvinyl ethyl ether not exceeding 30 per cent, calculated on the solids content of the solution.
