754,194. Batteries. UNION CARBIDE & CARBON CORPORATION. Nov. 16, 1954 [Nov. 17, 1953], No. 33089/54. Class 53. An anode for a primary cell consists of a finely-divided metal, for example zinc, aluminium or magnesium, agglomerated with a thermoplastic resin by subjecting the mixture to pressure at the moulding temperature of the resin. The latter may consist, for example, of polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, methyl cellulose or chlorinated diphenyl resins and the anodes may be in the form of cylinders, cups or rods.
