Abstract

753,380. Folding tables. EPSTEIN (LONDON & MANCHESTER), Ltd., H. & L. Jan. 21, 1955 [April 1, 1954], No. 9540/54. Class 52(3). [Also in Group XXV] In a hinged top folding table so constructed that, when folded, it may be carried as a suitcase and seats, &c. stowed inside, each leg, which pivots into a recess under the table top is held in the erected position by a locking strut comprising a longer member 9 (Fig. 4) pivoted to the leg 8 and abutting the underside of the table top and a shorter member 10 pivoted at one end to a point intermediate of the length of the longer member and at the other end to the table top. In retracting the legs the members 9 are pivoted away from the table top. The common pivot of the two members 9, 10 is made slightly frictional for stability.
