752,347. Ornamenting. BURGTORF, H., SCHWARZ, E., and BENECKE, J. H. Jan. 13, 1954 [Jan. 14, 1953]. No. 962/54. Class. 93 [Also in Group VIII] Sheet material having one or both surfaces of thermoplastic synthetic resin, e.g. resin films or fabric coated or impregnated with resin, is printed on one or both of said surfaces with a camouflage design of which the printing ink has a reflective action of 25-95 per cent in the infra-red range, and is simultaneously or subsequently perforated. The resin may be polyvinyl chloride or a polyamide and may contain a plasticizer, e.g. dioctyl phthalate or tricresyl phosphate, filler or stabilizer. The resin may be dyed and/or impregnated so as to produce a camouflage effect with a reflective action of 25-95 per cent in the infra-red range. The perforation may be effected by punching preferably with simultaneous fusion, e.g. by high frequency heating. A number of lengths of the material may be welded together. The edges may be reinforced by welding and provided with loops. The resulting camouflage material may be made up into clothing, protective wrappings, covers or tent cloth.
