Abstract

752,059. Clutches. OPEL AKT.-GES., A. Sept. 22, 1954 [Nov. 25, 1953], No. 27394/54. Class 80(2) The guide sleeve 23 for a clutch throwout ring 17 is resiliently clamped between the clutch casing 10 and an adjacent casing 27. The sleeve 23 has a stepped flange 29 centred in a corresponding recess in the casing 10 and three spring tongues 30. The latter are located in recesses in the casing. 10 and initially project beyond the end of the casing 10. When the casing 27 is bolted in position the tongues 30 are forced outwardly and the sleeve 23 is thus secured. The device is applied to a clutch having a dish-shaped clutch spring 15 and pivot rings 20 connected to the flywheel 12, the pressure plate 21 being attached to the flywheel 12 by a spring 22.
