Abstract
751,777. Road-traffic signals on vehicles. SWF-SPEZIALFABRIK FUR AUTOZUBEHOR G. RAU GES. Feb. 9, 1954 [March 28, 1953] No. 3864/54. Class 118(2) [Also. in Group XXXVII] A hot-wire flasher for vehicle signal lamps comprises a contact 132 carried by the armature 19 of an electromagnet 20 and normally held closed against the action of a spring 16 when the wire 14 is cool, the contact 132 being separated from fixed contact 131 by the spring against the action of the electromagnet when the wire expands on heating. The coil of the magnet is connected in series with contacts 131, 132 and a control switch 17 for the lamps 18. When the magnet is energized it also attracts a second armature 21 against the action of a spring 24, this armature carrying a contact 222 in series with a pilot lamp 23 which is thus also flashed by the opening and closing of contacts 131, 132. The wire 14 is put in circuit as soon as the ignition switch 11 is closed.
