Abstract

750,246. Wall panels. FINDLAY, G. K. Aug. 10, 1954 [Sept. 29, 1953], No. 26761/53. Classes 20(4) and 87(1). [Also in Group VIII] A wall panel comprises plaster boards 2 spaced apart by end and intermediate wooden strips 3 between which are cork slabs 4, the whole being secured together by adhesive or nails. Adjacent panels are secured together by metal plates 12 received in recesses 14 and screwed to the wooden strips 3. Angular metal plates are used for securing panels together at an angle. The panels, of storey height, are engaged in channels 7 secured to the floor and ceiling, each channel comprising a main part 6 or 10 to which a side member 8 or members 11 are secured. The upper and lower edges of the panel may be rabbetted at 9, Fig. 3. The assembled panels are coated by a plaster finish 15
