Abstract

749,954. Lockets. CORO, Inc. June 3, 1954 [Aug. 28, 1953], No. 16385/54. Class 43. A locket comprises two rectangular cupshaped case sections 11, 12 hinged together at one side by rolled portions 24, 33, 25, 34, 26 receiving a hinge-pin 41, Fig. 4, and each section having on the other side a rectangular cupshaped inwardly-foldable section 13, 14 hinged thereto by hinges located within the case sections to be concealed when the sections are closed, Fig. 4, and each hinge comprising rolled portions such as 21, 48, 49, 22 receiving a hingepin 51, Fig. 4, and a coiled spring located in an indentation and covered by a spring cover 50, one end 53 of the spring pressing against the bottom of the foldable section 13 and the other end against the adjacent side wall 18 of the case section so as to urge the sections 13, 14 to unfold when a releasable fastening 40, 23, Fig. 4, of the latch and catch tooth type on the outer side-walls of the case sections 11, 12, is released. The sections may be made from metal blanks of suitable shapes. Each section is provided with a frame removably seated therein.
