Abstract

749,847. Shelters. SMITH & CO. (LONDON), Ltd., J., and SMITH, D. J. M. July 29, 1954 [July 29, 1953], No. 21005/53. Class 20(1). A shelter which may be used in executing repairs to aircraft engines in adverse weather conditions has a framework formed by two inverted and substantially L-shaped structures 1, 2 each of which includes two tubular ends of the shelter connected together on each side of the shelter by crossing stays 6, 7, 6<SP>1</SP>, 7<SP>1</SP>. Platforms 10, 11 are hinged to the structures 1, 2 which are provided with rollers 12 and which at one end of the framework are secured together by stays 8, 9. The framework may be covered with canvas fitted with side and rear windows of plastic, e.g. celluloid, and a. curtain at the front end of the shelter is shaped .to fit snugly around the engine cover of an aircraft.
