Abstract

The invention comprises 8-hydroxyquinoline-N4 - phthalyl - sulphanilamido - 2 - thiazolate, 8 - hydroxyquinoline - N4 - phthalyl - sulphacetamide, 8 - hydroxyquinoline - N4 - succinylsulphanilamido - 2 - thiazolate and the preparation thereof, which comprises reacting, respectively, in an aqueous medium, equivalent amounts of 2 - (N4 - phthalyl - sulphanilamido)-thiazole, N4 - phthalyl - sulphacetamide, 2-(N4 - succinyl - sulphanilamido) - thiazole, or salts thereof (e.g. alkali metal salts) with 8-hydroxyquinoline or a salt thereof (e.g. hydrochloric or sulphuric acid salts).
