Abstract
747,757. Telephone transmission systems. MOULON, J. M. April 15, 1954 [June 18, 1953], No. 11177/54. Class 40 (4). [Also in Group XL (c)] In a negative impedance device in which the output 4, 5, Fig. 6, of an amplifier feeds a network in turn connected to the input 2, 3 the network comprises a phase-reversing transformer 10, 11 with the negative impedance occurring between the terminals 7, 8. The device may be coupled to a telephone circuit 15 over transformer 19, capacitor 20 allowing a PNP transistor 12 to be energized from the line. An impedance A shunts the winding 11 or in a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), shunts winding 10 or may be connected across the windings, Fig. 5 (not shown). Feedback from the collector emitter circuit of the transistor 12 is taken over capacitor 13 to the base emitter circuit, resistor 14 biasing the base. Specification 738,319 is referred to.
