Abstract

747,748. Washing boilers. CLEGG, C. Nov. 11, 1954 [Nov. 13, 1953], No. 31469/53. Class 64(1). A tubular coil B enclosed in a chamber A<SP>1</SP> attached to the bottom of a wash boiler A, is connected by spaced flow and return pipes b, b<SP>1</SP> to the bottom of the boiler and is heated by a gas burner C. The chamber A<SP>1</SP> has an outlet flue c. A flexible hose B<SP>1</SP> or tap is connected to the return pipe b<SP>1</SP>, for draining the boiler and coil. The coil B may be a flat helix. The supply pipe b passes through insulating material which prevents the burner gases from reaching the bottom of the boiler. Specification 658,685, [Group XI], is referred to.
