Abstract

Monochlor copper phthalocyanine in a pigmentary state is obtained by heating phthalonitrile and micropulverized cupric chloride in an inert organic liquid at 190 DEG -215 DEG C., with vigorous agitation. In examples, the liquids used are nitrobenene and o-nitrotoluene. Specification 410,814 also is referred to.
