744,691. On and off castors ; surgical tables. GREVILLE, E. G. May 12, 1954 [July 20, 1953], No. 20070/53. Classes 52(1) and 52(3). A wheeled base 1 for a surgical table &c. has castors 2 and hydraulically projected stub feet 5 simultaneously operated by a pump pedal 56, the pressure fluid, on further operation of the pump, passing through a relief valve to operate a height-adjusting ram 67 for the table. Separate release valves are provided so that lowering of the table and retraction of the stub feet can be independently effected and separate inlet valves for the stub feet cylinders provide automatic adjustment to unevenness of the floor.
