743,967. Sheep shears. LISTER & CO., Ltd., R. A. Nov. 29, 1954 [Dec. 15, 1953], No. 34847/53. Class 131. A sheep shearing handpiece has, at a level above bearing surfaces requiring lubrication, a reservoir containing a pad of oil retaining material the reservoir having an inlet opening and outlet apertures leading to the bearing surfaces. As shown, the fork 13 actuating the moving cutter 14 carries a fulcrum cup 16, engaged by the upper end of the fulcrum post 17, and has a reservoir on its upper side which contains a felt disc 19 and which communicates with the bearing surfaces by apertures 20. The reservoir is closed by a cup 21 having an aperture 22 below an oil supply opening. The upper end 31 of the tension pin is lubricated by a felt annulus 28 in a reservoir having an oil inlet 29 and oil outlet 33 leading to the bearing surfaces.
