743,846. Artificial teeth. JUSTI & SON, Inc., H. D. Oct. 17, 1952, No. 26108/52. Class 81(2). [Also in Group V] An artificial tooth is made by forming component parts of the tooth from a mixture of monomer and polymer and joining the parts by moulding (see Group V). The monomer may be methyl methacrylate, divinyl benzene, diethylene glycol methacrylate or styrene, and the polymer may be polyester, alkyd or allyl resin or polystyrene. Fig. 9 shows a tooth comprising a relatively opaque dentine core 63 having a translucent enamel tip 60 and a complete or nearly complete translucent enamel coating 61. Fig. 12 shows a similar tooth in which only the tip and the labial surfaces are covered with enamel. In Fig. 15 a layer of enamel 76 is sandwiched between two dentine portions 74, 75 and constitutes the tip.
