Abstract

Apparatus for separating magnetic particles from flowing liquids or gases comprises an annular magnet system surrounding a central discharge or feed pipe. The magnet system may comprise a number of cylindrical permanent magnets or a ring-magnet mounted in a magnetic annular trough. The filter may be arranged for mounting in the bottom of a sump or in a pipe line.
