Abstract
A filler rod for use in shielded are welding comprises a copper base alloy containing 0.05-0.3 per cent titanium or 0.1-03. per cent aluminium or 0.02-0.1 per cent magnesium or mixtures of two or more of these elements up to a total of 0.6 per cent, balance copper containing up to 0.2 per cent impurities. The following examples are given:- (a) Copper-0.2 per cent titanium, (b) Copper-0.24 per cent aluminium-0.25 per cent titanium, (c) Copper-1 per cent silver according to the Provisional Specification, (d) Copper-0.1 per cent titanium, and (e) Copper-0.2 per cent titanium-0.1 per cent aluminium.
