Abstract

The invention comprises compounds of the general formula <FORM:0740307/IV(a)/1> wherein R1 is an alkyl group, R is <FORM:0740307/IV(a)/2> or the b -pyridyl radical and R2 is hydrogen, a nitro, alkyl, alkylamino, alkoxy, alkoxyalkylamino group or halogen, and the salts of these compounds with hydrohalic acids. Such compounds are obtained by condensing the corresponding 1-substituted-4-amino-piperidine with a compound of the general formula Halogen-COR. In example (1) 1-methyl-4-benzoylamino-piperidine is prepared by reacting 1-methyl-4-amino-piperidine with benzoyl chloride. In a similar manner are prepared 1-methyl-4-(p-substituted-benzoyl)-amino-piperidines in which the p-substituents are (2) nitro, (3) methoxy, (4) ethoxy, (5) n-butoxy, (6) methyl, (7) chloro, (8) butyl, (9) methoxy-ethylamino substituents, and also prepared is (10) 1 - methyl - 4 - (nicotinoyl) - amino - piperidine. These compounds are converted into their hydrochlorides.
