740,235. Ornaments for buttons. UNITEDCARR FASTENER CORPORATION. May 14, 1954 [May 18, 1953], No. 14268/54. Class 43. An ornament adapted to be detachably mounted on a button head 14 or other garment fastener comprises a cylindrical body portion 26 having a circumferential recess such as 32 formed by a radially-extending flange 28 and an inwardly curved end portion 30, in which recess 32 is retained the periphery of an ornamental centre portion 34, e.g. of plastic or salt- or fresh-water pearl, and a button engaging portion preferably with longitudinal slits 40, to extend over the button &c. head 14 and having a smoothly rounded inwardlyextending flange 36, preferably tapered towards the end to engage under the smoothly rounded edge 22 of the button head.
