585,844. Dress-guards. HELLSTROM, A. G. F. Oct. 19, 1944, Nos. 20272 and 20273. Convention dates, Oct. 15, 1943, and Dec. 22, 1943. [Class 136 (i)] [Also in Group XXV] A fastener for securing a dress guard to the mudguard of. a bicycle or the like comprises a shacklelike member of steel wire or other resilient material, wherein the free end of the inner shank 3a is in the form of a hook 4 which is directed resiliently towards the other shank 3b and engages around the folded rim 2 of the mudguard 1 and wherein the hook is provided with an extension 9 which engages the inside of the mudguard. The shank 3b terminates in an eye, a ball or plate 5.
