Abstract

740,123. Watches. MONTRES ROLEX SOC. ANON. April 20, 1954 [April 18, 1953], No. 11380/54. Class 139 The crown 4 screws on to the pendant 2 screwed to the case 1. A sleeve 5 screwed to the crown 4 surrounds the tube 3 fixed to the winding stem (not shown). The pendant 2 has a groove 9 containing a packing 8 which always acts radially on the sleeve 5. A packing 10 located in the cavity 6 in the crown bears against the top edge of the pendant 2 when the crown is screwed thereto. A spring 7 urges the crown 4 and the sleeve 5 upwardly to establish a coupling between the parts 3a, 5a of the tube 3 and the sleeve 5 respectively when the crown 4 is unscrewed from the pendant 2.
