Abstract

560,828. Watches. BONINCHI & SES FILS, J. Sept. 5, 1942, No. 12559. Convention date, Sept. 30, 1941. [Class 139] Keyless mechanism.-A winding device for a time piece comprises a crown 3, Fig. 1, with a resilient packing 4 to form a tight joint about the pendant 2 of the casing. The packing consists of a cylindrical body portion 4a lodged in an annular recess 5 in the crown with radial play and a flange portion 4b compressed between a shoulder 6 on the crown and a clamping ring 7. In a modification, the shoulder 6 projects slightly into the recess 5. In another'form a metallic washer engages the shoulder 6 and the clamping ring presses the flange portion therebetween. In another embodiment the packing is without a flange and a metallic washer engages a peripheral groove in the body portion.
