739,993. Packaging saw blades. SANDVIKENS JERNVERKS AKTIEBOLAG. June 16, 1954 [June 18, 1953], No. 17718/54. Class 94 (1). Packets, each containing a single saw blade, are made from flexible sheet material, the faces adjacent the sides of the blades being sealed together in front of the teeth of the blade, without the interposition of a shim, to form a border 13 at least 5 mm. in width. The border helps to prevent damage to the saw teeth. As shown, the saw blade is enclosed between two flexible sheets sealed together around the edges 13, 24, 15, 16. Alternatively a single folded sheet may be used, the folded sheet being sealed to itself along the edge 13 and folded and sealed to itself along the edges 15 and 16. The sealing effect may be obtained by glue or for suitable materials by heat treatment. The package may be transparent. The flexible material may be treated with rust preventative.
