Abstract
736,929. Two-part couplings. CRABTREE & CO., Ltd., J. A., and MORGAN, R. W. April 20, 1954 [July 31, 1953], No. 21250/53. Class 38 (1). To avoid duplication of connections from a ring main to a fuse unit for a fixed appliance b and an adjacent socket outlet, the base 1 of the socket outlet is provided with an additional terminal 3 between which and the line terminal of the outlet is connected a fuse c. The neutral and earth terminals of the socket outlet are used as connecting points for the leads to the corresponding terminals of the appliance and the line terminal of the latter is connected to terminal 3. A switch may be disposed between the line terminal of the outlet and the corresponding socket contact (Fig. 3, not shown).
