736,295. Saw-tooth generating circuits. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Aug. 11, 1952 [Aug. 11, 1951], No. 18955/51. Class 40 (6). In a television frame time base generator comprising a source 15 of saw-tooth waves of exponential form connected to the input electrode of an amplifier having its output electrode connected directly or through a transformer to deflecting coils 17, 18, the output waveform is linearized by means of resistor and capacitor 12, 13 connected in series in a negative feed-back path between the output and input electrodes. Where a transformer is used in the output circuit the distortion due to the leakage inductance may be corrected by the use of a capacitor 20 or by connecting an inductor in series in the feed-back path (Fig. 3, not shown).
