Abstract

736,155. Refrigerators ; heat-exchangers. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Nov. 6, 1952 [Nov. 6, 1951], No. 27977/52. Classes 29 and 64 (3). The condenser mounted on the rear wall of the cabinet comprises at least two connected planar sections oppositely inclined to the rear wall and positioned one above the other and is formed of continuous serpentine conduit with a number of parallel passes 10 and a number of spaced wires 11 secured to the conduit and extending transversely of the passes. As shown, the condenser has two inclined sections 13, 16 and a central parallel section 14 and is secured to the rear wall of the cabinet by brackets 4, 5 and 6. The wires 11 pass on both sides of the conduit and are welded or brazed thereto. The passes 10 of the conduit may be vertical and the wires horizontal. The construction enables the inclination of the sections to be increased in the limited space available behind the cabinet. Specification 736,152 is referred to.
