A screen frame 1 is provided with a groove to accommodate an elastic cord 3 for securing the screen fabric 2, and an elastic element 5 for resilient mounting of the frame in the sifter housing 4. Alternatively the element 5 may be a round rubber cord, Figs. 2, 3 (not shown), or the cords 3, 5 may be replaced by one element.
