Abstract

735,295. Supplying tubes &c. to winding mechanisms. REINERS, W. March 17, 1952 [March 24, 1951], No. 6841/52. Addition to 734,930. Drawings to Specification. Classes 120(2) and 120(3). The winding machine of the parent Specification is modified in that the feeler levers 19 of several winding mechanisms are adapted to be operated simultaneously by a common actuating member, movable in timed relation to the conveyer 9, to detect the presence or absence of a tube (or bobbin) in each receiver and to initiate release to each empty receiver of a tube on the conveyer 9, the tubes on the conveyer being spaced apart so as to be positioned above the receivers concurrently with the operation of the feeler levers. The apparatus of Fig. 1 of the parent Specification is modified by arranging a number of projections on a disc rotatable with one of the pulleys about which the conveyer 9 moves, the projections in turn, contacting an arm which partly rotates a shaft to which several arms are attached each contacting a trunk 22.
