734,899. Stabilizers. INGRAM, F. W. April 5, 1954 [July 13, 1953; Aug. 10, 1953], Nos. 19311/53 and 21967/53. Class 52 (3). A stabilizing plug for insertion in the leg or other floor-contacting part of an article of furniture has a spring-ejected plunger, the return movement of which is damped by a fluid dashpot device. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, the fluid passes between a bellows 19 and reservoir 18 through a leaky valve 21 as the plunger 12 is forced up against the spring 23, movement being limited by a stop 20.
