Abstract

732,531. Shelving. DOWNHAM & CO., Ltd., S. J., DOWNHAM, S. J., and DOWNHAM, H. Jan. 10, 1951 [Feb. 7, 1950], No. 3131/50. Class 52 (1). Vertically adjustable shelves 20 are supported in a cabinet by members each comprising a head 18 horizontally grooved at 19 to receive the edge of the shelf and a horizontally projecting peg 16 co-operating with horizontally aligned recesses 15 arranged in two vertical rows one near the front and the other near the back of each side member 12 of the cabinet. Air escape grooves 17 are provided and in a modification the axis of the peg is spaced from the mid-plane of the groove so that by reversing the shelf-supporting members fine vertical adjustment of the shelves is obtained.
