Class 52(1) Refrigerator shelves 30 carried by hubs 44 vertically adjustable on a screwthreaded pillar 41 are slidably displaceable horizontally in relation to the pillar so that when drawn forward they can be rotated to enable the vertical adjustment to be effected. The shelves are constructed with a central bar 36 slotted at 37 to permit sliding and have spaced grooved rails 35 in which the ends of arms 46 on the hubs 44 can slide. The shelf surface may be a wire grid or may consist of detachable slotted metal trays 51, Fig. 7, with channelled rims to fit on the border frame 53.
