In a cam steering mechanism for vehicles as in the parent Specification the spherical-headed pin b engaging the helically grooved member d is rotatably supported in the lever arm a by means of a front ball bearing e and a rear ball bearing f, the latter bearing being axially loaded by a spring h acting upon a slidable outer race g of the bearing to take up any slackness due to wear. A cam surface j on the lever may also co-operate with a stationary abutment k for maintaining the contact between the pin and groove.
