Abstract

A therapeutic preparation comprises an aqueous solution of 4-dimethylaminoantipyrine and an equal amount of a solubilizer which is 4-aminoantipyrine, the total concentration of 4-dimethylaminoantipyrine and solubilizer being at least 10 per cent and preferably more than 30 per cent. Optional additions are salicylates and derivatives of barbituric acid or purine as, for example, diethyl- or phenylethyl- or cyclohexenylethyl barbituric acid or their sodium salts, and salts of caffeine, theobromine or theophylline.
