Abstract

A preparation for oral administration in muscular and nervous disorders comprises glycocyamine (HN=CNH2NHCH2COOH) and at least an equal molar quantity, per mol of glycocyamine, of a methylating agent (acting in vivo) selected from choline, betaine, betaine hydrate or dimethylthetine. It is preferred to use 1 1/2 to 5 mols of the methylating agent per mol glycocyamine. The preparation may be in the form of pellets or an aqueous suspension.
