A carrying case encloses a printing light source, a support for a sheet of photographic paper to be printed and a compartment housing a removable porous block. As shown the case has bottom wall 1, part side walls 2, rear wall 3, lid 4, front wall 6 and carrying handle 8. Lamps 12 for connection to an electric supply, backed by reflector 11, are mounted within the other part side walls 7 under the lid. Resilient pad 19 secured to a partition 15 is used as support for the photographic paper and a document to be copied, a hinged transparent platen 20 being provided to ensure firm contact. The porous block 25 is held in a tray 24 within a lower compartment 23 and is removable with the tray from the compartment. A pair of brush-type liquid-applicators 30, 30 and a squeegee 29 are held in spring clips 28 mounted on the tray 24. In use the photographic paper after exposure is placed emulsion side up on the porous block 25, developing and fixing or stabilizing solutions are applied successively to the paper by applicators 30, 30, excess solutions are removed by means of the squeegee 29 and absorbed by the porous block, and surplus moisture may be removed from the print by blotting paper. A compartment 17 is used for receiving bottles 18 of processing solutions, and a space between the partition 15 and the compartment 23 for storing photographic paper and blotting paper. In a modification (not shown), tubular electric lights may be mounted beneath the support for the photographic paper and document to be copied, the lid of the case used as pressure platen, and the tray carrying the porous block located beneath such light source.
