729,276. Hydraulic presses. LINSINGEN, M. VON., [trading as BOCHUMER EISENHUTTE HEINTZMANN & CO.]. July 30, 1953 [Sept. 6, 1952], No. 21133/53. Class 69 (2). The column 3 of a press is connected to frame members 1, 2 through multi-part collars 8, 8a which engage in grooves 7, 7a in the column and in recesses 9, 9a in the members 1, 2 respectively. The column is clamped in position against the collar 8 by means of a nut 11 held in position by a screw 13 and in position against the collar 8a by means of a nut 11a screwed at one end on the column and bearing at the other end against a face 10a on a part 2a of the frame 2. The connections may be similar at both ends or only one end may be provided with one or other of these connections.
